Thanksgiving can be weird.
When you know the truth.
We know it wasn't all hand holding and sharing food. However, I can't deny the fact that some of my favorite family memories were created during this American Holiday. I think there is a way to enjoy traditions that have been created and also be 'conscious' of the truth and origins of this Holiday.
I think we can know the lies and still enjoy the pie.
