The Mythology: In Ishtar’s version of The Descent, when she appears at the 2nd gate, “the gold rings on her ears” are removed.
Our take on the gold earrings of Ishtar are a beautiful set of 14k gold plated pendanted earrings with a cubic zirconia stone engraving of the 8 pointed star, the star of Ishtar. Adorned on top is a beautiful polished Lapis Lazuli bead with 14k gold filled earring clasps.
Each adornment represents 1 of the 7 Holy Me that Inanna-Ishtar adorns herself with before her descending to the Underworld. Every piece is named after the Goddess’ many titles and is accompanied by a beautifully illustrated Ritual Card and velvet jewelry pouch for safe keeping.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR ADORNMENTS
Your adornments are gold plated and intented to have a long life with the proper care. You can get them wet without ruin, however we always advise that you remove your adornments before sleeping, showerings, washing your hands, or going swimming.
Remove when applying lotion and oils to the Temple. This gives your Goddess Adornment a much longer life span.
